

Sophie (she/her) is a UK based Intimacy Coordinator with over 20 years experience of working with actors on stage and screen in many different roles. She is passionate about finding the best ways to tell intimate stories while keeping everyone safe and respected.
She is certified by IPA - a SAG-AFTRA accredited certification programme.

In the UK, Sophie has completed additional training with David Thackeray, Haley Muraleedharan, Christina Fulcher and Mya Brown. She is an active member of the BECTU Intimacy Coordinators Branch.
In addition to her work in film and television Sophie also practices as an Intimacy Director for theatre. Having run Key Players, her own theatre company, since 2019; and trained as a Gonsalves Practitioner; she focuses on finding the truth and authenticity in intimacy work for the stage.


What is an Intimacy Coordinator?
An Intimacy Coordinator is professionally trained to ensure that intimate scenes in film and television are handled safely, respectfully and consensually, whilst realising
the creative vision of the Director. The core roles of an Intimacy Coordinator are:
